Spanish Instructor Position

Baltimore City Community College is seeking a highly qualified Spanish Instructor to join our team. As a comprehensive, urban institution, we are committed to providing educational opportunities to the citizens of Baltimore City and throughout the state of Maryland.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating rigorous, objective-driven, arts-infused units, lessons, and performance tasks. They will also differentiate for individual students based on their unique learning needs, ensuring all students are appropriately engaged and challenged. Additionally, the candidate will present academic content through a variety of instructional strategies, frequently integrating technology to reach all learners. They will provide ongoing and timely feedback to students on their progress towards meeting big goals, frequently checking for understanding and listening to develop standards-based performances tasks and curricular assessment.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree with a major or minor in Spanish and a current MSDE teaching license in Secondary Spanish Language. A Master's in Spanish Language Arts and two years of experience teaching in an urban setting are preferred. The successful candidate will be able to maintain a focused environment of fairness and respect that encourages students to take risks and strive to reach goals. They will also be able to maintain appropriate student supervision, ensuring students have a safe and orderly environment in which to learn.
