Job Summary

The Director of Medical Critical Care Services is a key leadership position at Frye Regional Medical Center, responsible for overseeing the Medical ICU and Intermediate Care Unit. This role reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and is accountable for delivering high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing practice on each unit
  • Supervise and evaluate the work activities of all nursing personnel
  • Provide clinical leadership and set strategic and long-term goals for the nursing staff
  • Develop and review policies, procedures, and nursing protocols to meet regulatory, compliance, and quality care standards
  • Lead and professionally develop the nursing staff within the unit, providing performance goals, feedback, and development opportunities
  • Recruit, hire, and train personnel, and chair committees as assigned
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, with a Master's Degree in a related field preferred. A minimum of 5 years of RN experience, including ICU experience, is required, with at least 2 years of management experience preferred. The successful candidate will also possess proven leadership ability and hospital operational experience.
