Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team at Frye Regional Medical Center. As a CVICU Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients with cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients with cardiovascular conditions, including CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and Carotids.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs, lab results, and medication administration.
  • Participate in code blue and rapid response team activations as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1.5 years of experience as a Critical Care Nurse in a CVICU setting.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
  • CCRN certification preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with high acuity patients.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment

The CVICU at Frye Regional Medical Center is a 8-bed unit with a team-oriented environment. We use Cerner as our electronic health record system and have a variety of equipment, including Impella, IABP, and CRRT. Our patient population includes adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular conditions.

  • Every other weekend or to meet the needs of the facility.
