As a key member of our team, the Audio Visual and Communications Technician will report to the Communications/Security Supervisor and Operations Manager, while working closely with project managers. This role is essential for the installation, maintenance, and support of Audio Visual, Video, A/V Control, and other Communication Systems.
This position requires thorough documentation and may necessitate travel to various locations, with potential overnight stays.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate is a driven individual with a passion for Audio Visual, Video, A/V Control, and Communication Systems, committed to enhancing our Communications departments at BSGI. You are dedicated to providing exceptional service through ongoing education and development in the Communications field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, network, program, and maintain Audio Visual, Video, A/V Control, and other communication systems
- Gain familiarity with Crestron, AV Control Systems, Infocomm, Biamp, QSC, Telecommunications, Wireless, IP, and Networking standards
- Read, interpret, and update construction and A/V drawings
- Communicate daily progress to Project Managers or Service Supervisors
- Provide technical support and training to customers as needed
- Complete service acknowledgments for all calls or projects in a timely manner
Work Location:
This position is based at our corporate office.
Travel to various offices and customer sites across Pennsylvania may be required, including occasional overnight stays.
Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical background in electronics, with a solid understanding of Communications Systems, Pro-AV, or Information Technology (IT) preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in the installation of Communications Systems is advantageous
- Industry certifications such as CTS or CTS-I and formal manufacturer training are a plus
- Ability to work comfortably at heights using lifts and ladders is preferred
- Proficiency in soldering and crimping connectors (XLR, RJ45, TRS, BNC, and F-CONN) is beneficial
- Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a professional environment are required.
