Since our inception, our devoted pet care team has delivered comprehensive rehabilitation services aimed at rescuing and rehabilitating animals in need. Our modern facility features a gymnasium, private treatment areas, and a large aquatic therapy pool. YOUR ESSENTIAL ROLE:
As an Animal Care Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a vital role in our compassionate team, building strong connections with our patients and their families. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring and caring for boarding, daycare, and resident animals, including feeding and administering medications.
- Providing essential treatments such as bladder expression, wound care, ear cleaning, nail trimming, and medicated baths.
- Assisting veterinarians and technicians during physical therapy and acupuncture sessions.
- Maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment, which includes laundry, sweeping, mopping, and caring for our water equipment.
- Keeping accurate and detailed records of each patient's progress.
- Offering support to disabled patients, ensuring their safe transport to and from vehicles.
- Ensuring exam and treatment rooms are tidy and well-stocked.

SHIFT OPTIONS:
- 7 am - 4 pm, Monday to Friday
- 8 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday
- 9 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday
- Evenings, nights, and weekends
- Overtime opportunities available
Opening shifts may start as early as 6 am, and closing shifts can extend until 9 pm. Availability for at least one weekend day is required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A college degree.
- Experience in feeding, administering medications, and performing grooming tasks.
- Skills in animal handling and basic restraint.
- Exceptional patient care, customer service, communication, and multitasking abilities.
- Capability to prioritize tasks from various sources.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- A collaborative team player with a positive outlook.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to assisting patients with special needs.
While veterinary experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred, it is not mandatory. Experience in dog daycare or boarding facilities, as well as volunteer work with rescues or shelters, is highly valued. Customer service experience is also beneficial.
