Job Title: Office Services Specialist

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of administrative support to the Environmental Health Division. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service to residents and visitors of Virginia Beach, while also maintaining accurate records and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide front-line reception and administrative support to the Environmental Health Division
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including timesheets and leave requests
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents as required
  • Order supplies and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Answer inquiries and direct visitors to the appropriate office or resource
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in an office setting, preferably in public health or a related field
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and spreadsheet software
