Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Nurse Manager (RN or LPN) for our Vancouver - Fourth Plain Medical Clinic. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of the clinic alongside the Health Center Administrator and Clinical Director. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing both clinical and administrative functions of the nursing staff within the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assess the performance of approximately 10-12 Medical Assistants (MA), including MA supervisors.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and Health Center Administrator to implement nursing policies and procedures that align with Sea Mar's standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct monthly audits and maintain knowledge of applicable State and Federal Regulations related to health centers.
- Focus on quality improvement initiatives, including HEDIS and Meaningful Use standards.
- Provide annual training for Medical Assistants on topics such as infection control and sterilization techniques.
- Lead recruitment efforts for Medical Assistants and assist in hiring other support staff.
- Manage and uphold a patient care system that includes nurse-only visits.
Qualifications:
- Must possess an active RN or BSN license from an accredited college or university in the state of Washington.
- LPNs may be considered if they have equivalent experience that meets the qualifications.
- Completion of state-mandated HIV education is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained throughout employment.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), along with effective listening and team-building abilities, are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and coaching skills.
- A willingness to learn and adapt.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with a self-motivated attitude, are advantageous.
