Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Estimator to join our team at B&B Concrete. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for providing accurate bid proposals and scope analysis for potential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
  • Review proposals, specifications, and drawings to determine the scope of work and develop quantity take-offs.
  • Estimate all necessary labor, materials, buyout items, and equipment costs to prepare a thorough price estimate.
  • Incorporate safety considerations into the estimating process to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate and timely buyout of materials and services.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in estimating large commercial self-perform concrete projects.
  • Strong knowledge of cast-in-place concrete construction, concrete footings, and foundations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and legal documents.
  • Knowledge of related structural products, including joists, decks, stairs, rails, and anchor rods.
  • Ability to assemble the scope of work with required information, including inclusions, exclusions, and qualifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software applications, including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with B2W software is a plus.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
