Job Description

Cyclyx is a leading plastic feedstock management company that aims to increase plastic recyclability. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team at the Cyclyx Circularity Center (CCC) facility in Houston, Texas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all equipment, including optical sorters, conveying equipment, shredders, pelletizers, and mobile equipment.
  • Assist in overseeing and coordinating repairs when equipment malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures to identify underlying issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies to ensure critical components are available when needed.
  • Partner with Maintenance and Operations Departments on the development of maintenance schedules ensuring availability of necessary parts, etc.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Planner or position with similar responsibilities.
  • Excellent judgment regarding health, safety, environmental and fire protection risks with emphasis on injury prevention and business continuity.
  • Experience with recycling equipment and processes, including but not limited to shredders, contaminant removal technologies, belt and pneumatic conveyors, optical sortation, and palletization.
  • Experience managing vendors/contractors.
  • Expert understanding of mechanical plastic recycling equipment.
  • Proficient communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent business acumen, commitment to teamwork, and results driven.
  • Confident, proactive, and possessing strong problem-solving skills.
  • Impeccable personal and professional ethics.
  • Ability to build, maintain, and contribute to a team environment.
