Responsibilities- Client Communication and Education: Provide empathetic and informative communication to clients regarding their pets' conditions, treatment options, and post-care instructions.
- Patient Care and Monitoring: Oversee patient appointments, manage client interactions, and participate in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
- Laboratory and Imaging Procedures: Obtain and process laboratory samples, utilize imaging modalities for patient assessment, and execute, monitor, and recover sedation and anesthetic events.
- Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of equipment, adhering to safety protocols to guarantee the best possible care for our patients.
- Chemotherapy and Oncology Care: Administer chemotherapeutic agents, provide advanced knowledge and preparation, and maintain a high level of expertise in oncology disease processes.
- Experience and Education: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting, with a strong understanding of anesthetic monitoring, laboratory specimen processing, and radiographic techniques.
- Certifications and Licenses: RVT or VTS certification preferred, with a current CA RVT license or VACSP required.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively, provide exceptional client service, and maintain a positive outlook in a fast-paced environment.
