Job Purpose

The Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Augusta Washington Rd is seeking a dedicated part-time Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure the overall success of the hotel by meeting or exceeding guest expectations for product cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the overall cleanliness of the hotel by maintaining an organized and efficient Housekeeping operation.
  • Prepare work schedules in accordance with forecasted occupancy.
  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of housekeeping staff.
  • Maintain familiarity with cleaning equipment and requisition orders as necessary.
  • Conduct inspections of Public Space for efficiency and cleanliness.
  • Ensure public space meets and exceeds customer expectations for the appearance of the hotel.
  • Conduct department training on a regular basis.
  • Provide staff with skills training to provide value-added service to customers.
  • Monitor service and teamwork on a regular basis and counsel associates as needed.
  • Ensure guest rooms meet AURO and franchise hotel standards.
  • Inspect guest rooms each quarter and check 'In' house or 'Stay-over Rooms' as necessary.
  • Write maintenance orders as needed and conduct inventories as assigned.
  • Check linen closets and carts for cleanliness and supplies.
  • Train associates on proper cleaning techniques.
  • Use a 100-point inspection to ensure quality of rooms by inspecting rooms following cleaning by housekeepers.
  • Ensure all associates follow safety rules and procedures and take corrective action where required to improve safety of work areas.
  • Utilize leadership skills and motivation techniques to maximize associate productivity and satisfaction of direct reports.
  • Determine, communicate, and monitor achievement of standards of performance on a timely basis.
  • Maintain proper linen pars, chemicals, and amenity inventories.
  • Recommend purchases of products within budget.
  • Coordinate housekeeping work with other departments, including Front Office, Engineering, and Banquets.
  • Confer closely with the Executive Housekeeper at all times and become familiar with all aspects of the hotel to assist wherever required.
  • Coordinate staffing and payroll to conform with productivity and budgetary standards.
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
Requirements

A high school diploma or general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
