Job Title: Manufacturing Automation Process Controls Engineer

Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Automation Process Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for providing advanced support to our automation lines to meet machine availability, performance, and quality metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced support to automation lines to meet machine availability, performance, and quality metrics
  • Troubleshoot problems with processes and hardware, including pneumatics, electrical, PLC logic, vision cameras, barcode scanners, robotics, servo axis, and networking/database
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex problems and implement solutions
  • Perform PLC logic, robotic, and HMI program modifications to support product changes and/or machine optimization
  • Maintain program backups for all automation equipment
  • Plan preventive maintenance
  • Analyze machine performance metrics and identify room for continuous improvement
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Software Engineering
  • Must have knowledge of various applications and programming utilizing development environments such as Visual Basic and C#
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required
Preferred Skills:
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics or computer-generated reports
  • Knowledge of electrical controls, pneumatic, hydraulic operation
  • Ability to work independently and maintain project timelines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to handle stress and adapt based on production needs
  • Proficient with PLCs software tools, HMIs, and sensors
  • Proficient with robots (AAB, Epson, Kawasaki, Fanuc)
