Job Title: Paralegal Specialist

As a Paralegal Specialist with the U.S. Army, you will play a vital role in the legal system, providing support in various areas of law, including criminal, family, international, civil, and administrative law. You will work closely with judges, lawyers, and unit commanders to assist with legal matters and judicial work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide paralegal support to unit commanders and the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate.
  • Prepare legal documents for courts-martial, nonjudicial punishments, and other military justice matters.
  • Assist with administrative law matters, including line of duty determinations and separation board proceedings.
  • Support family law matters, such as powers of attorney, wills, and separation decrees.
Requirements:
  • Be between the ages of 17 and 40.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Pass a background and medical screening.
  • Receive a passing score on the ASVAB.
Training and Development:

As a Paralegal Specialist, you will receive 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 10 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, with on-the-job instruction. You will learn essential skills, including legal terminology, research techniques, and preparation of legal documents.
