Chief Medical Officer Job Overview:
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing and managing the medical initiatives of a primary care facility.

The Chief Medical Officer works autonomously while receiving guidance from the Vice President of Clinical Affairs and administrative support from the program Administrator.

Key responsibilities include ensuring adherence to contractual obligations related to funding and projects.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited medical institution
  • Valid medical license in New Mexico
  • DEA registration and New Mexico Controlled Substance Certification
  • Medicare PIN and UPIN identification numbers
  • Medicaid identification number
  • Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is preferred
  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant qualifications will also be considered with the necessary licenses and certifications
Screening Criteria:
  • Compliance with mandated testing and immunizations including TB, Hepatitis B, Tdap, MMR, Varicella, and Influenza vaccinations
  • Background check for specific locations
Physical Requirements:
  • Travel may be necessary
  • Capability to perform daily tasks including standing, bending, and utilizing office equipment
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 30 pounds occasionally
  • Specific vision and hearing capabilities are required
