About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Litigation Manager to join our team at Futuristic Underwriters. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented attorney to leverage their expertise in litigation management and provide exceptional support to our General Counsel.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for adjusters handling complex bodily injury claims, providing expert guidance and support throughout the litigation process.
  • Work closely with outside counsel to develop and implement effective pre- and post-litigation strategies, ensuring optimal outcomes for our clients.
  • Collaborate with coverage counsel to advise on a broad range of coverage-related issues, providing strategic insights to inform business decisions.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of legal problems and interpret laws and regulations, identifying creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Analyze and mitigate legal risk, developing proactive strategies to minimize exposure.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the General Counsel and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and transparency.
  • Support the development and implementation of compliance programs, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with business units to manage legal risk, fostering a culture of compliance and excellence within the organization.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school and excellent academic credentials.
  • Active law license to practice law in at least one state and a member in good standing of the bar.
  • Minimum 5 years of litigation experience, with a proven track record of success in managing complex cases.
  • Advanced knowledge of legal principles and practices related to litigation, including personal injury and insurance coverage.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Experience working with outside counsel, coverage counsel, and other stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Proactive mindset required, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
