Job Overview:

As a Medical Office Assistant at Patient First, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to register patients, collect demographic and health information, and verify insurance details.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register patients efficiently while providing exceptional customer service
  • Verify patient demographic, health, pharmacy, and insurance information
  • Accurately collect money and issue receipts for patient visits, diagnostic studies, and supplies
  • Discharge patients and process incurred charges
  • Complete cash management duties, including counting and accounting for money collected
  • Receive, send, and distribute correspondence as directed
  • Filing and scanning medical documents and office forms
  • Assist with other assignments as directed

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year of clerical experience preferred
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 7 hours at a time
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Excellent visual, verbal, written, and typed communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
