Role Overview:

As a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, you will engage in a variety of exciting projects within our international payments platform.

Working within one of our feature teams, your focus will be on delivering impactful business outcomes rather than merely product features. You will develop a suite of cloud-native, Kotlin-based microservices, primarily interfacing with a React frontend through GraphQL.

Key components of our architecture include Kafka events and messaging.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Designing and implementing new capabilities to align with our product roadmap.
  • Conducting architectural reviews of both new and existing solutions.
  • Mitigating technical debt and enhancing operational efficiency, including metrics such as Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Recover (MTTR).
Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in modern engineering practices emphasizing continuous integration and quality assurance.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality, thoroughly tested solutions.
  • Solid computer science fundamentals.
  • Experience with Java or Kotlin, Spring/Spring Boot.
  • Proficiency in designing and developing GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience with high-volume distributed systems and Kafka event streams.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS (EC2, RDS, ELB, CloudFront, etc.), Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience with operational tools like New Relic, StatsD, Elk, Datadog, and Prometheus.
  • Flexibility to collaborate with colleagues across different time zones.

Compensation:

The compensation range for this position is $133.6K - $229K, reflecting the company’s commitment to fair compensation practices in accordance with applicable laws.

Benefits may vary based on employment type and location, with US-based employees eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability, basic life insurance, and well-being benefits. Additionally, US-based employees receive 20 paid vacation days and 12 paid company holidays annually.
