We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Radiation Oncology team at ChristianaCare. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality cancer treatment.
About the Role:- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing radiation therapy, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical and emotional evaluations, to identify potential barriers to care.
- Initiate referrals to external departments, such as social work, financial counseling, and patient advocacy, as needed.
- Coordinate patient care with external departments, including imaging, laboratory, and multidisciplinary clinics.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and quality of care.
- Current RN licensure in the state of DE (and PA licensure as required).
- Two years of nursing experience, with oncology experience preferred.
- Advanced nursing degree or certification as an Oncology Nurse (OCN) by the Oncology Nursing Society is preferred.
- BLS certification required.
