Medical Physicist, Radiation Oncology Specialist

Job Summary
Northside Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our Radiation Oncology Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing qualified radiological physics support for our Radiation Oncology Department.
Responsibilities
• Performs a variety of duties related to providing qualified radiological physics support for the Radiation Oncology Department, including equipment monitoring for quality assurance/control and clinical application of radiation oncology.
• Assists the Chief Medical Physicist in all brachytherapy services, including high dose rate and prostate seed implantation.
• Ensures that all physics functions and operations within the department meet state and other regulatory standards.
Qualifications
• Masters Degree in Medical Physics or related field.
• Certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
• Must be ABR certified or eligible.
Preferred Qualifications
• 3 years of experience in Radiation Oncology, including clinical application of medical physics, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy, and Prostate Seed Implants.
Work Hours and Requirements
• 7:30AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday.
• No weekend or on-call requirements.
