Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Office RN Gastroenterology to join our team at Danbury Health Systems. As a key member of our gastroenterology department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our physicians in delivering exceptional medical services.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for medical exams by gathering necessary information, vital signs, and medical history.
  • Assist physicians with patient exams, procedures, and treatments.
  • Provide direct patient care, including vaccinations, medications, and wound care.
  • Collect and analyze patient specimens as directed by physicians.
  • Communicate with patients and families to educate them on preventive care, medication management, and test results.
  • Perform organizational responsibilities to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Requirements
  • Five years of job-related experience preferred.
  • One year of supervisory experience required.
  • Medical knowledge and terminology.
  • Computer skills and data entry experience.
  • Knowledge of insurance contracts and requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • Previous medical office experience preferred.
Work Environment

This part-time position offers 24 hours of work per week, with flexible scheduling and 8-hour shifts from 8:30am to 5:00pm. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills.
