Position Overview

AHRC NYC is seeking a dedicated Employment Services Coordinator for our Staten Island Employment Business Services (EBS) program.

The Employment Services Coordinator will be responsible for fostering and nurturing strong relationships with funding organizations, fellow service providers, educational institutions, training facilities, employers, participants, their families, and internal staff.

This role requires adherence to all contractual obligations and compliance standards relevant to assigned responsibilities.


The annual compensation for the Employment Services Coordinator position ranges from $38,000 to $42,000, accompanied by a comprehensive health benefits package at low or no cost, reflecting AHRC NYC's commitment to the health and wellbeing of our employees and their families.

Key Responsibilities


• Cultivate and sustain exceptional relationships with all assigned job seekers to deliver high-quality customer service and facilitate successful employment outcomes.

• Provide coverage within the program during periods of significant staff absence. Offer counseling to participants in both group and individual formats.

  • Ensure compliance with New York State regulations, Department of Labor standards, federal guidelines, and the Workforce Investment Act.
Participate in parent meetings as necessary.

  • Actively engage as a member of an interdisciplinary team, attending case conferences and staff meetings to support job seekers in achieving employment success.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with EBS staff to prepare job seekers for successful placements.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all job seekers before and after job placements, as well as to employers who hire them, in collaboration with Account Executives and other EBS personnel.
  • Build community relationships and coordinate outreach initiatives to recruit new participants into programs.
  • Facilitate Job Clubs and other pre-employment workshops addressing job seeker concerns.
  • Conduct initial assessments of potential new participants and guide them through the enrollment process alongside their families and other involved service providers.
Execute the Discovery process for individuals as directed by the supervisor.

  • Engage in Person-Centered practices, including Discovery, Community Engagement activities, and Customized Employment.
