Key Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
  • A valid Texas Professional Civil Engineer's License is essential.
  • A minimum of 8 years of practical experience in roadway design for transportation initiatives is necessary.
  • TxDOT Precertification Work Category 4.2.1 in Roadway Design is required.
  • Proficiency in Microstation and Geopak is essential, with familiarity in OpenRoads 3D considered advantageous.
  • Understanding of roadway design principles applicable to City, County, and TxDOT projects is expected.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to prepare plan sets and coordinate with utility providers during construction are crucial.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and effective collaboration skills to guide technical staff in a team-oriented setting are important.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams in schematic design and PS&E tasks for roadway and highway projects.
  • Serve as the Project Manager, overseeing all aspects of transportation projects.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor project activities, including scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Participate in design review meetings and maintain client relationships.
  • Assist in proposal development, project scoping, and building client relationships.
  • Provide mentorship and supervision to staff engaged in transportation projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering organizations and contribute to company-wide initiatives.
