Position Summary

The Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in identifying potential clients, prospecting, and selling temporary roll-off containers, portable restrooms, and portable storage solutions to commercial clients. This position is essential for establishing, nurturing, and expanding long-term relationships with clients to enhance revenue and achieve monthly profit growth targets aligned with the company's strategic objectives.

Reporting Structure

Reports to the Business Development Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify potential leads, manage prospects, and secure all lines of temporary services available in the market, including roll-off containers, portable restrooms, and portable storage, to surpass monthly profit growth targets.
  • Generate and relay sales leads for permanent sales opportunities to the relevant sales representatives to capture additional revenue streams.
  • Communicate pricing adjustments effectively to the customer base.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of available services, pricing structures, and business lines to effectively sell to existing and prospective commercial and industrial clients, contributing to targeted revenue growth and overall company objectives.
  • Enhance visibility and build relationships through participation in company-sponsored events, trade shows, and community engagements.
  • Respond promptly to all inquiries from customers and potential clients.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2-3 years of experience in sales or direct selling.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong interpersonal and presentation abilities.
  • Effective time management skills to ensure responsibilities are completed efficiently.
  • Strong active listening skills, demonstrating full attention to others' ideas and inquiries.
  • Quick learner with good follow-through skills; adheres to work schedules and maintains a positive outlook.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, competitive spirit, and a drive to achieve goals.
  • Trustworthy and maintains confidentiality at all times.
  • High energy, friendly, and engaging personality with excellent persuasion skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, use hands for handling, reach with arms, and communicate verbally.
  • Occasionally required to stand and walk.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Some travel may be necessary.
