Catholic Charities Of The Diocese Of Oakland is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to provide trauma-informed services to children, youth, and adults in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients referred to our mental health programs.
- Deliver client-centered, developmentally appropriate, and evidence-based treatment approaches.
- Facilitate restorative social-emotional and clinical groups in schools and community settings.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, school personnel, parents, and caregivers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Provide services in client and family homes as needed.
- Offer consultation, training, and psychoeducation regarding trauma and trauma-informed responses as required.
- Adhere to timely and accurate clinical documentation and data collection requirements.
- Conduct strengths-based assessments, service plans, and treatment plans.
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, marriage and family therapy, or clinical counseling.
- A minimum of 1 year providing clinical counseling services to individuals, groups, or families.
- License or eligibility as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Experience in delivering short-term and long-term counseling, including individual, family, and group counseling.
- Knowledge of evidenced-based clinical models preferred.
- Ability to interact and communicate with clients and their families who have experienced pervasive traumas and provide therapeutic services linking clients to community resources.
- Experience with restorative practices preferred.
- Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle.
- TB test, fingerprinting, and background check with clearance to work with children and youth.
The Mental Health Therapist works 35 hours a week and is eligible for benefits, including paid vacation and sick leave, medical and dental insurance, agency 403B contribution match, life, and disability insurance.
