Job Summary:

Asian Health Services is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to provide direct behavioral health treatment services to community severely mentally ill (SMI) clients. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related field and be licensed and registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health screening, crisis stabilization, individual/group/family counseling, and culturally relevant assessment and treatment.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, identify and pursue necessary resources, and provide crisis intervention as needed.
  • Conduct examinations, formulate diagnoses, and participate in clinical case presentations and peer reviews.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and modify service plans as needed.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited school in social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related field.
  • Licensed and registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California.
  • Bilingual in an Asian language preferred.
  • Experience in providing individual, group counseling, and clinical case management in API and SMI communities preferred.
