About the Role

As an Assistant Project Manager at Power Design, you will work closely with senior managers to oversee the business aspects of a project, from labor management to budget management. You will be based at our headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida, and will be paired with an experienced mentor to support your career growth. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, competent, and excellent at communication and organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the business side of a large-scale construction project under direct supervision and support from the project manager.
  • Collaborate with senior team members, suppliers, and contractors to coordinate schedules, inventory, materials, and project correspondence.
  • Regularly visit assigned projects, interacting with customers and other trades while representing the organization in the field.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, engineers, inspectors, and vendors.
  • Receive hands-on training from a mentor and utilize cutting-edge technology in the office and when visiting the field.

Requirements

  • College graduate with a construction-related degree and 3-5 years of relevant work experience or an individual with 5+ years of relevant construction experience.
  • Detail-oriented professional with exceptional problem-solving skills who loves new challenges and has a drive for results.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
