Job Summary

The Staffing and Project Coordinator will be responsible for the recruitment and staffing processes for Clark Electric's projects while also coordinating key project tasks. This dual role is critical in ensuring the company's workforce is aligned with project needs and that all project coordination activities are executed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Staffing Coordination:
    • Candidate Evaluation:
      • Assess the applicant's previous company experience and role.
      • Conduct phone interviews to gather detailed information, including work experience, specific areas of expertise in the electrical field, and years of experience.
      • Follow up with older applicants to maintain a talent pipeline.
      • Negotiate wage rates based on experience and company budget.
    • Hiring Process:
      • Extend job offers and finalize hiring decisions in collaboration with the hiring manager.
      • Coordinate pre-employment processes, including scheduling drug screenings.
      • Upon successful completion of the drug screen, provide new hires with project details, including jobsite location and contact information.
  • Project Coordination:
    • Submittals:
      • Work closely with pre-construction and operations teams to request submittals from vendors and subcontractors once a Notice of Commencement is issued.
    • Permitting and Municipality Registration:
      • Handle the registration and permitting process with relevant municipalities.
    • Municipality Account Management:
      • Set up and manage municipality accounts, coordinate license renewals, and update certificates of insurance (COI) annually.
    • Permit Management:
      • Pull temporary and new permits for ongoing and upcoming projects.
    • Safety Compliance:
      • Create and maintain job safety notebooks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
    • Job Start-Up Documentation:
      • Verify that all job start-up documents, including Notice of Commencement, contracts, letters of intent, and notices to owners, are executed and properly filed.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Working Conditions:

Office environment. Occasional travel to project sites and municipality offices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam and applicable Engineering programs
  • Able to perform at a high level of proficiency under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Works well with a diverse group of people
  • Strong work ethic and moral character
  • Strong written and verbal communicative skills
  • Ability to communicate and plan with management
  • This position requires a successful completion of a drug screening
  • This position requires a successful MVR check
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to walk job sites with which would include but not limited to the following physical duties: ascending and descending ladders, walking on uneven terrain, walking up and down hills, being exposed to various weather conditions
