About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Systems Administrator to join our team at Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will be responsible for administering, developing, and supporting our ESRI GIS systems to enhance company efficiency, regulatory compliance, responsiveness, and competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, develop, implement, upgrade, test, troubleshoot, administer, and support our ESRI GIS systems to meet the technology objectives of the company.
  • Partner with business departments, vendors, and developers to translate business needs into technology solutions, ensuring seamless integration and effective communication.
  • Develop a solid understanding of applications being supported, including database design and SQL querying, to provide expert-level support and guidance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Information Technology methodologies, tools, and techniques to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Apply analytical experience to develop a variety of solutions for moderately complex problems, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, or a similar technical degree.
  • 2+ years' experience in ESRI GIS tools, with a strong understanding of database design and SQL querying.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ESRI APR (including branch versioning), UPDM data model, Utility Network, and ESRI Mobile solutions.
  • Experience with Programming or Scripting languages, such as Python or JavaScript.
  • Experience with Web Services (WCF, WebAPI, or REST), with a strong understanding of API design and implementation.
  • Project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
