Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between our clients and service technicians, ensuring seamless communication and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Liaison
    • Greet clients in a prompt and courteous manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
    • Listen attentively to clients' needs and clearly articulate information on repair orders.
    • Satisfy clients' immediate needs while presenting additional services in a low-key, high-integrity manner.
  • Service Coordination
    • Observe factory suggestions on maintenance items and advise clients on the value of maintaining their vehicles according to manufacturer specifications.
    • Present a menu of recommended maintenance and additional services to every client.
    • Ascertain clients' needs, collecting information necessary for service or repair diagnosis.
  • Estimation and Authorization
    • Provide clients with accurate estimates of repair or maintenance costs, including a minimal diagnostic fee with explanation of associated costs.
    • Write repair orders, detailing problems and pertinent information, and secure clients' signature for authorization of repair or service.
  • Quality Control and Follow-up
    • Inspect quality of vehicles following repairs or service to verify that all authorized work is performed and performed properly.
    • Follow up on progress of each repair order during the day and contact clients by phone or email to notify them of any changes to the status or estimated time of completion.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Sell and manage extended warranties and complete required documentation.
    • Handle minor client concerns or misunderstandings, document changes on repair orders, and reply to voice and email messages in a timely manner.
    • Notify clients when repairs are completed and vehicles are ready for delivery.
    • Review and explain repairs and associated costs with clients upon completion of service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
  • Operator's Driver's License (must be insurable).

Working Conditions

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand and walk.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
