ICU Clinical Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse ICU Clinical Coordinator to join our team at Del Sol Medical Center. As a key member of our ICU team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling. Manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- CCRN.
- Preferred qualifications include 1-2 years of critical care experience and CCRN, TNCC certifications.
Del Sol Medical Center is a full-service, acute-care hospital in east El Paso, Texas. We have a Level II trauma designation and offer a range of services, including emergency care, cardiac care, women's services, Level III NICU, rehabilitation, and a minimally invasive surgery center.
