We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an ICU Clinical Coordinator in the Interventional Radiology department at Del Sol Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our radiology department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assist with setup and procedures as needed, including abscess drainage, biopsy, and consent for invasive procedures.
- Monitor patients receiving I.V. sedation under the direct supervision of the Radiologist.
- Inform the Radiologist/Technologist of any changes in the patient's condition.
- Administer medications and blood as ordered, and start saline locks and I.V.'s according to IVP/CT protocol.
- Catheterize patients in the department.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
- BSN preferred.
- Two years of hospital experience preferred.
- Basic EKG certification required.
- IV Therapy certification required.
- IV Medication course required.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
