The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Del Sol Medical Center. This position requires a skilled and compassionate nurse who can effectively coordinate care, lead a team, and drive exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the ICU, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state, Current BLS certification, Current ACLS certification, CCRN, NPR, TNCC.
- EDUCATION: Minimum College: Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN.
- EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years of critical care experience, CCRN, TNCC.
- SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transfer physician's orders, Knowledge of body substance isolation, Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partners needs, Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
