Job Title: Assistant Community Manager

Foothills Regional Housing is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Community Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our affordable housing properties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with various funding layers, including HOME, Tax Credit, 50058, 50059, NSP, and PBV units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the management of multi-family residential real estate properties, performing duties personally or through subordinates.
  • Process and prepare applicant and resident files in compliance with Project-Based Section 8 and LIHTC rules and regulations.
  • Prepare leases, addendums, and other legal paperwork for new move-ins, and maintain tenant files throughout the lease term.
  • Perform annual renewal inspections in accordance with HUD and LIHTC regulations.
  • Purchase supplies and equipment for use on leased properties.
  • Oversee the completion of security dispositions in a timely fashion.
  • Contact utility companies to arrange for service transfers for tenants.
  • Generate and post demands and other legal notices required in property management.
  • Assist with evictions in compliance with court orders and directions from the lawyer and owner.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times, adhering to FRH standards.
  • Maintain awareness of and adherence to all requirements of the Fair Housing Act and applicable HUD and LIHTC regulations.
  • Answer phones and take appropriate action or direct calls to the property manager.
  • Perform administrative functions at the community.
  • Record rent receipts in the HAB software system.
  • Process vendor invoices and purchase orders.
  • Provide resident problem resolution, directing issues to the Community Manager for resolution when necessary.
  • Identify competing communities and document rates for each apartment type, size, and amenities.
  • Assist with planning and implementing resident events and office themes.
  • Interact with residents courteously and professionally.

Education and Experience:
  • Assisted Housing Manager Certification or equivalent, one year certificate from college or technical school, or one to two years related experience and/or training.
