- Previous experience at a hotel front desk is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with guests and team members in a welcoming, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain consistent attendance in accordance with company policies and scheduling needs.
- Handle guest objections and disputes with professionalism and poise.
- Uphold high standards of personal grooming and uniform compliance.
- Adhere to company standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanor at all times.
- Set exemplary standards for guest relations at the front desk.
- Gather all necessary information for room reservations.
- Monitor requests from VIP and special guests.
- Review front office logs and trace files on a daily basis.
- Master all relevant aspects of the front desk computer system.
- Ensure timely and professional logging and delivery of messages, packages, and mail.
- Stay informed about current rates, packages, and promotions.
- Be knowledgeable about in-house groups and events.
- Be aware of closed-out and restricted dates.
- Enforce hotel credit policies consistently.
- Perform all duties of a Front Desk Agent as needed.
- Complete and verify that all necessary reports and checks are accurately executed.
- Manage the operations of the PBX console, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Foster effective communication and teamwork among associates and departments.
- Assist the Front Office Manager in ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Understand and assist with emergency procedures as required.
- Ensure guests are checked in and out in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Complete all tasks on the shift checklist promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain attentiveness and courtesy towards guests, managers, and fellow associates.
- Maximize room revenue through effective merchandising strategies.
- Respond to guest inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in departmental meetings and planning sessions.
- Help maintain productivity levels in line with budgetary standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Assist in the training of new hires and current associates regularly.
- Attend meetings as required by management.
