Clinical Director

The Clinical Director - Trauma/Surgical ICU is a key leadership role responsible for the direction, implementation, and evaluation of patient care services within the Trauma/Surgical ICU at Cooper University Health Care.
Key Responsibilities- Assumes responsibility and accountability for the direction, implementation, and evaluation of patient care services within the assigned unit.
- Assigns workload and assumes responsibility for the operational functioning of the department.
- Ensures the delivery of patient care through the coordination of customer services and the leadership and management of the nursing unit.
- Assists the Clinical Director in coordinating interdepartmental and ancillary activities to ensure quality, cost-effective patient care.
- Assists the Clinical Manager in directing the preparation and maintenance of patient's clinical record.
- Acts as a liaison between nursing and medical staff, serving as a problem-solver and mediator for positive change.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year of demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Requires strong planning skills and a solid understanding of Patient and Family Centered Care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Current New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse, BLS certification.
- National certification within area of specialty required for critical care, operating room, endoscopy, and trauma.
Scheduled Days / Hours: 4 x 10 hour shifts; weekend coverage as needed.
