Join MTA, Inc. as a Customer Service Representative and play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our customers.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our customers, providing assistance with fare payment systems, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our customers, responding to their inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist customers with fare payment systems, including answering questions and resolving issues related to ticket vending machines and fare payment accounts.
  • Record customer comments, complaints, and commendations in our agency database.
  • Administer monthly pass programs, including Employer Supported Program (ESP), Pass Sales Outlets (PSO), and Reduced Fare Programs.
  • Manage the inventory and distribution of passes, as well as issue photo ID cards as needed.
  • Assist customers with establishing and managing their fare payment accounts.
  • Provide support to customers experiencing issues with their fare payment accounts.
  • Assist customers with the operation of ticket vending machines (TVMs).
  • Transition current MTA eligibility customers to the new fare payment eligibility system.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in customer service, preferably in a high-volume call center or working with the general public.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Ability to work off-hours shifts as required.
Working Conditions:

This position requires prolonged periods of sitting and reaching, as well as extensive use of hands, fingers, legs, and arms in selecting and grasping paper, telephone, computer, and related items. The capacity to exert up to 50 pounds either pushing, pulling, or lifting is also required. The work environment is typical of an office environment, with reasonable accommodations made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Wage rate: $16.56-$19.01 per hour.
