Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring a positive experience from initial contact to discharge. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patients for appointments, ensuring timely and efficient service
  • Answer and direct phone calls, responding to patient inquiries and concerns
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance, and referral information, accurately documenting in the electronic medical record
  • Collect and post payments, ensuring accurate and timely processing
  • Discharge patients, ensuring a smooth transition to the next stage of care
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to resolve patient concerns and issues
  • Maintain a clean and organized waiting area, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
  • Two years of clerical experience or one year in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
