We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Apartment Leasing Consultant to join our team at Highlands, an apartment community in Blacksburg, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for marketing the apartment community, presenting its features and benefits to prospective residents, and securing lease agreements from qualified individuals.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to high performance in a fast-paced, multi-task environment. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market the apartment community and present its features and benefits to prospective residents
  • Qualify and determine the needs and preferences of prospective residents
  • Secure lease agreements from qualified individuals
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents
  • Assist with lease applications, verification, and notifications
  • Complete all lease paperwork, including related addenda and accept rents and deposits
  • Inspect property and report any service needs to maintenance staff
  • Assist with daily and weekly reports, resident communications, and market surveys

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with Yardi and LIHTC programs preferred

As a condition of employment, a satisfactory drug test and background check are required. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
