Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team at The Boeing Company in Hertford, NC.

This position will support our site by maintaining industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lay out, construct, install, and rebuild refrigeration and year-round air conditioning equipment for plant facilities.
  • Perform work described in other maintenance classifications when incidental but necessary to the accomplishment of the assignment.
  • Work from engineered drawings, sketches, verbal instructions, handbooks, etc., to accomplish required work.
  • Read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, and/or schematics.
  • Visualize three-dimensional shapes from a two-dimensional view and understand symbols, flag notes, and general notes.
  • Read and make control adjustments using typical testing equipment such as Freon leak testers, thermometers, sling psychrometers, monometers, velometers, hydrometers, humidistats, etc.
  • Install and adjust valve controls and perform electrical wiring and installation of special electronic controls used for regulating and controlling refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
  • Repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and adjust all existing types of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment (production and building).
  • Maintain necessary temperature and service records.
  • Lock out/Tag out equipment and related systems, as required.
  • Observe and evaluate system operation using remote building monitoring systems and visually inspect equipment, power sources, wiring, plumbing, electronic components, and systems for defects or maintenance problems.
Requirements:
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Technician Certification in North Carolina.
  • 3+ years' experience working as an HVAC Technician.
  • Capable of lifting 35lbs on a frequent basis.
  • Current valid driver's license.
  • Capable of passing fall protection training.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Industrial infrastructure experience.
  • Experience with industrial water chillers.
  • Experience working with a Government customer.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at our Hertford, NC location.

This position requires an active U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).

Security Clearance/Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $50,700 - $65,300
