As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and compiling financial data for reporting, ensuring the accuracy of general ledger entries, and providing information and assistance to external auditors.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct account reconciliations in accordance with established schedules
- Examine account balances for significant fluctuations and report to appropriate managers on their probable causes and implications
- Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring the accuracy of general ledger entries
- Perform monthly account analyses, quantifying the results through system reports
- Provide information and assistance to external auditors to facilitate audit completion
- Maintain workpapers in accordance with state and federal requirements
- Review check requests for completeness of information
- Prepare requisitions and purchase orders for vendors
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration; Master's degree preferred
- 3+ years of accounting experience, with healthcare industry experience preferred
- Computer proficiency in Excel, with experience in PeopleSoft and Public Accounting a plus
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills
Maimonides Medical Center offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $85,000-$95,000. We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of recruiting and employment.
