BIM/VDC Project Leader

Turner Construction Company is in search of a skilled BIM/VDC Project Leader to spearhead the Virtual Design and Construction division. This role involves managing preconstruction activities, engineering processes, and overseeing the implementation of BIM deliverables on-site. The successful candidate will be tasked with establishing BIM protocols, offering specialized knowledge to the team, facilitating training sessions, and nurturing partnerships with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and mentor members of the VDC team
  • Resolve BIM-related challenges on construction sites
  • Set quality benchmarks and ensure compliance
  • Consult with Project Leadership regarding staffing and operational matters
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of contractual documents

The BIM/VDC Project Leader should possess a Bachelor's degree along with a minimum of 12 years in the construction sector, including at least 6 years focused on BIM/VDC. Expertise in BIM software such as Navisworks Manage, Trimble SketchUp, and Autodesk Revit is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • 12+ years of experience in the construction industry
  • 6+ years of experience in BIM/VDC
  • Proficiency in BIM software
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities

The BIM/VDC Project Leader will be required to work on construction sites and should be capable of performing physical tasks, including climbing and lifting up to 50 pounds. The work environment may involve exposure to various weather conditions, noise, and other site-related factors.
