Order Selector / Forklift Operator Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Order Selector / Forklift Operator to join our team at a distribution company in Baton Rouge, LA. As an Order Selector / Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate selection and movement of products within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Reach Truck/Stand Up Forklift and Walkie Riding Electric Pallet Jacks to pull orders for next-day delivery
  • Obtain and maintain forklift certification
  • Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with a focus on safety and efficiency
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily and weekly goals

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Prior experience in the operation of a reach truck/stand up forklift in a warehouse environment is preferred
  • The candidate must have flexibility for alternating shifts
  • The candidate must have reliable transportation
