As an Economist or Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) Modeler, you'll work in a multidisciplinary environment with a collegial team of applied economists providing an analytic basis for decision-making with an emphasis on aviation and transportation economics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and apply Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) models to assess domestic and international economic impacts.
  • Conduct econometric and economic modeling and analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and handle large datasets and data-driven analysis.
  • Support policy and investment analysis, sponsor engagement, and economic analysis in support of regulatory policy, pre- and post-implementation analysis, forecasting, and applied research.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Computable General Equilibrium modeling, ideally using GEMPACK software (e.g., GTAP, USAGE), and GAMS software.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including creation and presentation of complex concepts and actionable solutions.
  • Advanced econometrics, economic analysis, handling large data sets, and policy and investment analysis skills.
  • Mathematical modeling and knowledge of economic data sets, including but not limited to: Bureau of Economic Analysis, U.S. Census, HIS Markit, FRED, UN Comtrade, Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with GEMPACK software packages.
  • 5+ years of related experience with Computable General Equilibrium modeling.
  • Experience in climate change/environmental economics, international trade, supply chains, critical infrastructure, transportation, defense, and/or aviation.
  • Experience working with government sponsors and agencies.
  • PhD or PhD Candidate in Economics.
