Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at our soon-to-open Palo Alto location. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations, developing new recipes, and ensuring that our food meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Menu Development: Develop and implement new recipes, menus, and food preparation methods that meet our high standards of quality and safety.
  • Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and direction to our culinary and service staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality food.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control: Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a safe and sanitary environment, and that our quality control programs are in place to ensure that our food meets the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management and Purchasing: Manage our inventory and purchasing processes to ensure that we have the ingredients and supplies needed to meet our menu demands.
  • Staff Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for our culinary and service staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality food.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring that they have a positive and memorable dining experience.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with our management team and other departments to ensure that our kitchen operations are aligned with our company goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Culinary Degree or Equivalent: A degree in culinary arts or a related field, or equivalent experience in the food industry.
  • Experience as an Executive Chef: A minimum of 5 years of experience as an executive chef in a high-volume kitchen, with a proven track record of success in menu development, food safety, and staff management.
  • Food Safety Certification: A valid Servsafe Manager Certificate.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh up to 50 pounds.
