Job Description:

The Patient Access Representative II will play a critical role in ensuring smooth patient flow and efficient administrative processes. This includes greeting patients, scheduling appointments, processing insurance verifications, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients courteously and maintain a positive first impression
  • Schedule patient appointments electronically and ensure timely follow-up
  • Execute daily insurance verifications and communicate results to patients
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily co-payments and transactions
  • Obtain patient consent for treatment and perform necessary documentation
  • Assist with prescription refill requests and troubleshoot office equipment failures
  • Scan documents into medical records and receive and distribute mail and faxes
  • Participate in team huddles and meetings to discuss patient care and workflow

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have a high school diploma, medical assistant training, and AHA Basic Life Support Certification. You should also possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
