Job Title: General Counsel

Mazal Group is seeking an experienced General Counsel to provide expert legal guidance across all facets of our operations.

We are a leading developer and distributor of innovative health and beauty products for national and international markets.

The General Counsel will serve as the chief legal officer, responsible for overseeing all legal matters, ensuring compliance with local and federal laws, and providing strategic legal advice to the executive team.

This role requires an understanding of corporate law, intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all legal activities across the company, including contract negotiations, corporate governance, intellectual property, litigation, and risk management.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including licensing and purchase agreements.
  • Advise on legal implications of business strategies and decisions, providing guidance to senior leadership.
  • Manage and resolve HR and employment-related legal matters, including employment contracts, disputes, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Support trademark and intellectual property strategy, including registrations, enforcement, management, and defense.
  • Liaise with outside counsel on litigation and complex legal matters.
  • Ensure legal compliance in marketing materials, advertising, and product claims.
  • Manage real estate transactions and other corporate legal matters as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in California.
  • 2-3 years of legal experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house experience.
  • Expertise in corporate law, contract drafting, intellectual property, employment law, and litigation.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal matters and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
