About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-Op Student to join our Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineering team in Buildings. As a Co-Op Student, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects for a range of public and private sector clients, assisting in the daily design activities for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare contract drawings, specifications, schedules, details, and sketches from conceptual design through to construction.
  • Facilitate and ensure the quality of the project deliverables.
  • Follow production guidelines and project standards in the department drafting standards manual.
  • Provide CAD drafting and design assistance for a wide variety of projects, from the report stage through design and construction administration.
  • Assist in the resolution of technical issues on construction sites.
Requirements
  • Proficient in CADD with a basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD, and the use of it as a drafting/design tool.
  • Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting.
  • Ability to take direction, follow process, and accept feedback and suggestions from senior engineers/designers.
  • Working toward a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Architectural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
