ChildNet, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to community-based care, focusing on the welfare of children in Broward and Palm Beach County. We collaborate with the State of Florida's Department of Children and Families to deliver essential case management services to children who have faced abuse, abandonment, or neglect. Our agency is nationally recognized by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and employs a diverse team of over 450 professionals.

Role Summary: This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of case management activities at ChildNet, providing essential support and direction to Dependency Case Managers.

The following responsibilities outline the core functions of this position, though they do not encompass all potential duties.

  • Recruit, train, and inspire Dependency Case Managers to achieve their assigned objectives.
  • Offer guidance and support in the preparation of court documentation completed by Dependency Case Managers.
  • Assist Dependency Case Managers in identifying and overcoming administrative barriers to ensure timely child placement permanency.
  • Align team objectives with the organization's mission and values.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and organizational standards.
  • Participate in various meetings, including permanency conferences and court hearings, as required.
  • Provide timely updates regarding staff assignments, meetings, and court schedules to Dependency Case Managers.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the Department of Children and Families and other related agencies concerning the Dependency Case Management team.
  • Manage employee discipline and termination processes in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Perform additional related tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:

Experience:

  • A minimum of two (2) years in Human Services or Child Welfare programs.
  • Prior experience in a Case Manager role.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Child Welfare Professional Certification is required.
