Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Roadway Engineer to lead our regional market growth efforts in Columbus, Ohio. As a key member of our transportation engineering team, you will be responsible for managing roadway design projects, growing our team, and establishing our presence in the regional market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies for regional market penetration, working closely with the Roadway Discipline Leader and senior management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local agency and DOT clients, identifying opportunities for new business and expanding our brand recognition within the region.
  • Collaborate with our other service lines to effectively promote our capabilities and cross-sell services, ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Manage local agency and DOT roadway design projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery of project results.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Roadway/Highway design engineering.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience with project management and accounting software.
  • Exceptional organization skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work individually or as part of a team.
