Position Overview

If you thrive in the service sector but prefer a dynamic role without the traditional serving responsibilities, this position is ideal for you.

Our Front of House Attendants are trained across various functions including Front Desk, Food Running, Shuffleboard Desk, and Bussing. We offer competitive compensation that rivals most traditional serving roles. If you enjoy a fast-paced atmosphere where no two days are alike, Tang & Biscuit is the perfect fit for you.

Compensation starts at $12 per hour plus tips, with weekly payouts every Friday. Our Front of House team enjoys regular days off, including Mondays, Tuesdays, holidays, and most Sundays. We operate on a tip-sharing model, allowing the FOH department to earn 25% overall. Working 20 hours could yield over $400 in tips.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet guests warmly.
  • Anticipate guest needs through keen observation and proactive communication.
  • Organize and manage game play schedules.
  • Clearly explain game rules and instructions, ensuring guests of all experience levels can enjoy.
  • Assist fellow staff members when necessary.
  • Utilize a point of sale (POS) system for transactions, reservations, and customer service.
  • Clear tables and game areas, returning dishes and glassware to the kitchen/bar.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all guest-visible areas, ensuring a pristine environment.
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping as needed.
  • Address safety concerns immediately and place wet floor signs as required.
  • Provide clear directions and follow instructions effectively.
  • Garnish food orders appropriately and deliver them to the correct tables.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Key Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a multi-skilled service role is preferred. Training will be provided for specific tasks unique to Tang & Biscuit.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old; over 21 is preferred.
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and friendly personality with a focus on team cohesion and enjoyment for all.
  • High self-awareness, integrity, and adaptability are crucial.
  • Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including navigating stairs.
